Dad Rocks! is the project of Snævar Albertsson, a Denmark-based Icelander and a 27-year-old father of two, who creates songs about modern life with a humane, domestic perspective. His debut album "Mount Modern" was released on a variety of indie labels in the UK (Big Scary Monsters), Denmark (Father Figure), Iceland (Kimi), Japan (Friend of Mine) and the USA (Paper Garden), and saw him tour widely and collect many critical garlands, quickly establishing a loyal and fast-growing army of listeners and devotees.
After a knockout performance at the Feb 2012 Shhh! Festival in a snowy London Town, Howard Monk of The Local joined the team as European booking agent. Snævar has toured as a solo acoustic performer, but can put together up to a nine piece band to fully express the symphonic quality of "Mount Modern".
